Welcome to Seattle Music Partners

We at Seattle Music Partners believe that music is a powerful tool for inspiring and empowering young people.

Because music-learning opportunities are often limited or inaccessible, SMP provides a free after-school music program for underserved elementary school students in Seattle’s Central District. We also provide a unique opportunity for skilled musicians to give back.

We recruit, train and support skilled high school, college-aged and community musicians as volunteer music tutors and mentors who lead one-on-one music lessons each week. These lessons are supplemented with a second afternoon of group instruction and ensemble work. We also provide instruments to participants and transportation where needed.

SMP is celebrating an important milestone this year—2015 marks our 15th year! We have plans for lots of fun and meaningful ways to acknowledge this accomplishment and hope you will join us at one or more of the special events we’ve got planned.  First up—Dine Out for SMP! which will be held on February 3rd at Perche No Pasta & Vino. Please join us—make a reservation today!

There are many ways to learn more about SMP: read our latest newsletter, watch us on NBC, or enjoy our slideshow. For further information or to make a contribution, please contact us at info@seattlemusicpartners.org.
